This is a book of poems
I have scribed the words of my heart
Some good, some bad
Some wise, some sad
Many I wish I had never had to write
But they have been my teachers
My mistakes and those of others
Life’s comedies, tragedies and love stories
They may not be true they are only my views
These are my words, it is only my pen
If you think I have plagiarised herein
These words are higher, I’ll call you a liar
They come from within
And they cannot be found lying around
Outside of the world I live in
Food for my soul, here my story I’ve told
I wrote it for me, for my spirit to be free
Now I share this with you
I wish your love for the poem to be true
May my words touch your heart
For this life of which you are about to become a part
