Fly

Oh dream your dreams you lost so long ago
The ones so clear before they beat and broke you
Find your soul, live the life that you should know
Why should you live as others wish and all your joy forgo

You have feared to leave your nest
For flight they taught could not be done
So you remained and did your best
But your freedom was never won

Even when the nest you’ve left
By what they said they had you bound
In untrue chains you have been kept
And so you’ve trudged upon the ground

But perfect wings you do posses
So spread them wide
And learn to fly
Then with those dreams you will be blessed
