Love’s Intent

When you enter my heart
Leave your facade outside
You look silly playing that part
And wearing those hats in which you hide

If you could be you and I could be me
I think we would be even greater together
If I could see you and you could see me
I think we could see a true love forever

Let’s really use the gift of words
Not hide behind our fury hurled
Be brave enough to breathe love in
And braver still to let love out

Stop replaying our past into the future
Leave behind the pain of times bygone
All that’s real is here right now
Leave the fear of things to come

Our time together now is sacred
When all there is is this moment
We’re real, no longer a ghost in your head
And we become Love’s intent

If I can trust you and you can trust me
We can love with absolute ease
If I can be you and you can be me
Then we can be all beings at peace
