Love’s power

The wind just blew my words away to carry them to you
Take my heart and take my soul for I cannot bear to be apart
With disguise I cannot live I cannot be with lies
So here I’ll stay with all things precious far away

I do not believe in the man who has lied
I accept who you are but not who you’ve shown
I see you with courage and reasons for pride
I know you as beautiful a heart of my own

I will not settle for average I’d rather have none
If it means my heart must starve then let it be done
For half hearted love I will not accept
Then rather my heart by itself will be kept

These are my hardest times my saddest days
Most wanting of strength in my loneliest hour
I search so desperate to discover the ways
But none I find to vanquish love’s power
