May love let us in

I must write of happy times
I fear my poems do bring the pain
‘tis strange to write a joyous rhyme
This I do for love to regain

So I listen as the birds do sing
The trees are in full flower
I must write of happy things
In this dark and lonely hour

Of a sun that warms and sets so sweet
Anything will I do for my love to prove to you
In this world there’s nothing more fair with you I am complete
With all my heart I hope and pray you find within a way
To prove your love for me is true that I may once again belong to you

Then I can hear their songs
And feel the warmth upon my skin
Let our hearts never do wrong
We’re soul mates, may love let us in
