The board walk runs through the fynbos until it reaches the beach.
Cheeky seagulls dive bomb and in hunger screech.
Waves roll in topped with frothy white layers capturing my carefree youth.
As the salt airs fills my lungs my mind fills with truth.
We are all players in the symphony of life each of us has a vital part
Love is the answer to most of the questions in your heart.
The ocean is the most gorgeous Indigo blue.
What happened...where did time go…I haven’t a clue.
Slowly at first the movies in my mind replay and every now and again...freeze on a frame.
Ce la Vie…it is like it is….no one is to blame.
The fading light revels an almost haunted vista of mystery on the shore.
The ocean breath carries the sound of waves to me...memories faster now come to the fore.
Many happy moments we shared together …they flood in now more and more.
I recall in the early years how each other we used to adore.
We stood at the altar little did we realize how delicate were the spoken words of our porcelain promise.
On the happy day so long ago before God, vows were made and sealed in a kiss.
The moon smiling down doing her thing controlling the tide...
Holding my legs in a hug unconsciously with the rhythm of the ocean I sway side to side...
Here now on the beach eons later under the southern sky.
With focus on the good times happy tears slip by.
As the tide begins to turn and now rise.
Gazing out to sea with misty eyes.
I smile at the ghost crabs who are out performing their night moves.
The smell and sound of the ocean my soul soothes.
A holy purpose is at the heart of every relationship’s core.
When the purpose has been served the attraction will cease and be no more.
Life is a journey of love...it is not a destination.
Live in your spirit…focus on love and light with peaceful determination.
This place has a poetic and provocative presence.
Etched deep into the landscape and carried on the wind is the sacred essence.
There is a magic which ignites my soul.
A long healing journey I took before I again felt whole.
It took all my strength and an insight learned there to stop the hurt inside.
Deep down in that place where opposing emotions collide.
I peeled away the layers and tried to make sense of my past.
The hurt and pain although all consuming at the time does not forever last.
At the conclusion of a relationship your gratitude is appropriate for moments shared.
Forgive, put bitterness aside and look for the spiritual gifts you received, remember there was a time for each other you deeply cared.
With all your might be spiritually mature do not retaliate, embrace the learning and the pain.
Everything happens for a reason and you will love again.
Just as you are one, each person you spend even the shortest time with is like a holy master.
At the time it may be difficult to understand the purpose but you will even if it way after.
Many tears have fallen on the cobblestone pathway of love not meant to be.
Remain centered...in time the fog will lift and again with a clear heart you will see.
Don’t beat yourself up thinking it was all a mistake.
Rather gather the shattered pieces one by one place them back together into a beautiful mosaic.
