I inhale the salty essence of the ink blue ocean.
Memory of better days flood back in a melancholic rush of emotion.
Soft white sand falls between my toes.
How much time do we have left ...Who knows.
My body lying on a sandy beach in silent mediation
Light years above me the Orion’s belt constellation.
Sadly selfish and UN enlightened earthlings, in their beds comfortably sleep.
Mother earth who gives us life..We abuse her ...causing her now to silently weep.
Bewitching cry of a wolf shatters the silence of the night.
Over the horizon appears a shimmering ball, the most magnificent sight.
A swaying silky ribbon of light falls across the sea.
Creating a path between the Ginger Moon and me.
Waves since the beginning of time smash against the jagged Rocks with power.
You can feel it now the thundering crash in this critical midnight hour.
Millions of stars shine overhead in a cloudless sky.
Again the ear piercing, spine chilling wolf cry.
Our beloved Gaia is it too late, to change human mindset of greed.
For billions of years you have provided us with our every need.
We in return with disrespect pollute your waters, air and land.
I lie here feeling your broken rhythm tears run down my face into the sand.
Slipping away at a rapid rate is sand through the hour glass of time.
What we have done to our sacred earth is an unforgivable and hideous crime
Resulting in Tsunami’s Volcanoes, Floods, Snow Storms, and Droughts from searing heat.
What are us humans doing looking the other way we carry on and into denial we retreat.
It is beyond urgent to make all humans aware.
To change our ways and treat you with love respect and care.
Looking out to sea with a heavy heart and swollen eyes.
I throw my head back and howl at the Ginger moon on the rise
