The Dreamer Rules
For all of my logic, the dreamer rules supreme
So here I go again falling into that silly dream
Chasing dragonflies that I never can catch
Lighting candles in my heart without a match
Such a fool I am for love’s game
I can’t keep my cool in the heat of Eros’s flame
So magical are these fantasies of mine
But with reality they’re so out of line
Do not wake me from my slumber
Rather join me in the dream that you remember
My knight in shining armour come rescue me
Be my prince charming and save me from harsh reality
I know my foot will fit the shoe
And happily ever after I’ll be with you
So that when you kiss me from my sleep
It will have been worth the tears I weep
