The Muse
The Muse has brought her gifts tonight
To entertain for your delight
She takes you back into your heart
With flowing words of forgotten art
Stay a while in the rivers flow
Immerse yourself in the feelings you know
These words are the poets but also yours
We’ll share the pain, we’ll open the doors
Be gentle with the poets heard
For their love and lives are in their words
They’ve travelled deep into the hearts dark places
To share the tears that stain our faces
Join me now to welcome home
The voices saying you’re not alone
Stand in the flame of passions fire
