Think Again

What are you thinking alone in your bed
Replaying yesterday inside your head
What you said, or didn’t or wish you had
People everywhere making you mad

Can’t fall asleep so you reach for the pills
How will you manage to pay all the bills
Flitting from past to future fears
And losing the present among all the cares

Polar bears drown because there’s no ice
Responsible living depends on the price
Children alone with nothing to eat
You cringe at the thought of your child on the street

What can you do and where do you turn
To find the peace for which you yearn
Is having more things the magical key
To securing your joy and identity

But look closer now.... we’re all the same
We all feel fear and we all have pain
Break down the walls of your lonely place
And see your brother face to face

And there you’ll find this world is one
We are all joined, no place to run
Look in his eyes and you’ll see your soul
Love him and you and you’ll be whole

Love changes the world that we perceive
What we believe, we do receive
Together we can heal our earth
And joy and peace will count our worth
