What the %$^# was I thinking!
There was the Buddha deck
And then the clubhouse …
And there was Shona’s place of course!!
But one silly brain fart forced me away
One silly brain fart forced us to part.
What the $%#& was I thinking?!!
It’s not as if I was drinking!
If I had just ignored the fear
I might still have her here!
Then there was the Ex …
No! not about youth or sex!
It was another brain fart, that’s all it was
… forcing me away forcing us to part.
You know, I thought I was strong
I thought I could see right from wrong
… but that’s clearly not the case
Now I have that mistake I need to face.
Yeah sure what I should have done
was suppress the urge to run
Instead of heeding those stupid cries
I should have revisited the love in her eyes
A love I also surely felt!!
… &%$# should have held her tight and just stared at Orion’s belt!!
